My Top Ten of Singapore

The picture above is a new Merlion located in Sentosa Island, Singapore. This tiny island seems to move forward all the time and it seems like never stop creating new things. Singapore that I know loves to build and renovate everything that we could think of. This probably because of January is a mouth of renovating, so everything in the city seems to spend their time taking a rest, even a big Merlion near Esplanade was also taking a shower.

However I had found many interesting things to do, to see, to taste, to visit. And here is the list of my top ten favorite things!

1. Walking along Singapore river

Well, this is cool and relaxing. I love a city's view during the walk at night. It was absolutely beautiful =) It was raining that day but I had loads of fun taking some crazy pics with friends.

2. Colorful Little India
I like the color of the buildings in this area but, to be honest, I can't stand a smell :S The buildings were painted in blue, pink, green and so on. My hostel is located very close to Little India, so my friends and I always take a walk to this place. There's also a 24-hours-department store located here. It's called Mustafa. It's a place where you can enjoy your shopping at night!

3. China Town
Chinese people are all over the world and here in Singapore you would see MANY of them. China Town for me is more like a shopping district with loads of restaurant. You can find almost everything with a reasonable price here if you don't mind a crowded place. (actually I do =.=)

4. Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice @ Maxwell Hawker, China Town
I can't remember the price but it's probably around 2-3 singapore dollars. Anyway, this is worth trying! Chickens were nicely cut and the taste was so good! You might have to wait in line for 5-10 minutes or more because it is quite popular :D

5. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum
I love this temple and the museum here. It is not like a temple in Thailand but it has a Chinese style. I like the garden on the top floor and the 10,000 Buddha images there were amazing. A good place to be in China Town.

6. Orchard Road
OK, I love shopping. But I didn't buy anything during my walk at Orchard Road except Miami travel guide book. haha. I actually wanted to buy some clothes and makeup but we didn't have much time and my bag was full already. Anyway, strolling along this street is kinda fun and relaxing. (I guess this is because I love walking hahaha)

7. Kinokuniya Book Store, Orchard Road
My guide book said that Kinokuniya book store here is the biggest one in Southeast Asia. Cool! I was like dreaming. It was soooo big and I never wanted to leave that place. I didn't take any picture because I was focusing on finding some good books. Loveeee it OMG!

8. Metro
Hahaha. Yes, it was crowded but I found it very convenience and helpful for the tourists. This probably because of Thailand's transportation isn't that good, so I enjoy traveling with this metro a lot. :) (pls ignore my face in the pic below =..=)

9. Universal Studio
Everyone loves theme park. But I normally hate it because I'm so afraid of hight. However, I found this theme park a fun place to be. Though it was raining that day but my friends and I had lot of fun. It's smaller than I expected and a staff at Madagascar area wasn't nice. She shouted aggressively at us when we were taking photos. :O I was so pissed off but overall this is the good place to be with friends and family (also with your bf and gf)

10. Images of Singapore
I went to this place alone. It's a museum representing Singapore's history with people from four nationalities, Malay, Chinese, Westerners and Indian. THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I had very little time but I did visit every rooms of this museum. Ok, it was a bit scary to be alone coz it was dark inside but I love this place! LOVE LOVE LOVE! If you love history, this place is A MUST. Very informative, interesting and well-represented!
