Wish List for the Month of Love

Hey guys! I'm back. Yeah, finally. I was super busy last month because of my exams. And I'm so happy that I got through it already! No more exam until the end of MARCH!! Yeah. At least I can enjoy the sweetest month of all. February!!

So, let's celebrate the month of love with my new wish list. Here it is;

The Hunger Games
I've heard so many people talking about this book and it's going to be in the theater in this upcoming March so I'm really excited to get this book. The story-line is pretty cool and interesting. I think it's quite similar to the Japanese movie I've watched before called Battle Royal. And I've heard that this story idea comes from the story of Theseus, when he was sent to the Labyrinth and met with Minotaur. THESEUS! I'm kinda obsessed with Greek mythology and yeah, though the whole story does not based on Theseus's myth, I still want to give this book a try. I might go get it next week and hopefully I can finish it before March :)

Make Up Remover and Nail Polish Remover
I don't own any nail polish remover, yeah, seriously. So I'm planning to get one and also some good drugstore make up remover. I use Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil to take off my make up but I just feel like I need a proper make up remover not just a cleansing oil. I guess, I have to go to Boots or Watsons soon.

Pink Lipstick
I never own any pink lipstick, so Valentine might be a really good excuse to get one (or maybe two) :D Here're what I like ...
-MAC Flamingo from Iris Apfel Collection: light milky bright coral

-MAC Saint Germain: Clean pastel pink

Another two that I'm interested in...
-Revlon Lip Butter: Macaroon
-Revlon Lip Butter: Sweet Tart

Perfumes
There're two perfume that I've been wanting to try for so long!
-Avril Lavigne Forbidden Rose

-Versace Bright Crystal

Well, that pretty much is for Feb's wishlist. Hopefully I can get one of these soon.
See ya next time, my blog.

Nail of the Day: OPI Glitzerland

Yesterday was father's day and also the birthday of our beloved king! I didn't have a chance to meet my daddy coz he was too tired to go out :(
My mom, my aunt and I decided to go get some Japanese food and do a shopping. To celebrate the King's birthday, I decided to wear OPI Glitzerland on my nails. The color itself is so gorgeous and this color is the first OPI color that I own. This gold color is not too shimmery, it's super easy to apply and perfect for both day and night time.

Also, it's perfect for winter holiday because it gives you a festive look. It reminds me of a small golden ball on a Christmas Tree. So if you're looking for a gorgeous gold color for the holiday, check out this color!

Review: Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Set!

Hello everyone! I'm here with another review of my skincare products. It's the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Set which I bought several months ago and they're almost gone by now. This set has trees products for people with acne-prone skin:
-Cleansing Foam
-Clarifying Lotion
-Clearing Moisturizer

Let's see my review on each product!

Cleansing Foam

I hate its chemical smell. It reminds me of hospital or pharmacy. But what I like about this product is that it comes with the pump so it's easy to use. I always use 2 pumps since my face is quite small. The foam is smooth and gentle. It dries out my acne a bit after rinsing it off and softens my skin a bit as well. However, I don't think I will re-purchase this product because it doesn't work amazingly for my skin. After using it for awhile, I think it isn't worth the money and I'm sure some drugstore products with lower prices might work better than this.

Clarifying Lotion

Using this product is like pouring alcohol all over your face. I know alcohol helps killing some bacteria but I personally think that this product is way too strong. If you have sensitive skin, I'm sure your skin might get irritated easily just like mine. Before using it, you have to shake it a bit so the powder and the liquid are combined. The powder will help controlling the oil on your face. I feel like it works OK. (but just OK, not great)

Clearing Moisturizer

Its smell is much better than the other two in my opinion. This product helps hydrating and soothing the skin after using the Clarifying lotion. Sine the lotion is quite strong, your skin might be dry or get irritated. This moisturizer will help adding some water to your skin. For me, I don't feel like it helps with acne or anything like that. Yes, it does add the water to my skin but I don't feel like it helps reduce the redness or any visible acne that I have at all. I may try something different next time because I just don't think this one is effective.

Overall, this set didn't work for me. My skin did break out a lot in the past few months and I feel like some products are way too strong for people with sensitive skin. I can't remember how much it was but it wasn't too expensive. It might cost around 2,500 Bath for the whole set. At first I'd love to try the travel-size set but it was sold out so I ended up buying full-size products instead.

The girl at Clinique said that my skin would break out for around two months after using these products. But in fact, my skin has been breaking out for more than 4 months now. I know I have to be patient for acne treatment. The acne sticks with me for more than five years, why on earth would it be disappeared within several months? I know but I still think that this set is not the right one. I will be trying Neutrogena next time but I will not buy the whole set. For my next skincare routine, I might mix it up with different products from different lines or brands.

Hope to see you all in my next post and thanks for reading!

PS. If you're wondering, I have combination skin which tends to be oily in some areas and sensitive sometimes.

TAG: Nail Polish Story

Hello everyone!
I have another tag to share with you today. This comes from Maprang, one of my best friends.
You can go check out her blog here: http://p-coolz.blogspot.com/

Nail polish used to be something I never thought I'd spend a lot of money on.
Anyway, this year I just completely changed my mind. Good Nail Polish is a MUST-HAVE Item for every girl. All you need is one neutral/polite color that works perfectly for everyday look, one reddish color for keeping you feel confident about yourself, one sparkling color for your night out and one favorite color that's going to be your little baby.

However, 4 are not enough for me, of course. I love collecting things and once I start to do it, I will keep collecting until I get bored. Now nail polish starts to take a little space in my makeup collection and I know its collection will be growing a lot more in the future. We'll see. Maybe I will do mini nail polish collection if I have more than ten of them.

Hey, I shouldn't be rambling too much. Let's get started with the tag! :D

What’s your favorite nail polish company?
OPI for now. Maybe I'd try Essie soon.

Glitter or no glitter?
Both. I used to hate glitter but now I just think it's fun to wear.

OPI or china glaze or Essie?
OPI. Because here it's the most popular one, easy to find and have a wide range of colors. Essie has an amazing pastel and soft shade which I'd love to try out as well but it's hard to find the right color for me here in Thailand since it's not as popular as OPI. I can't say much about China Glaze but I've heard they also have a great quality. Anyway, I go for OPI this time.

When do you start to take off your nail polish?
I don't even buy my own nail polish remover. Seriously. I just take it off when I go back to my house and borrow the remover from my aunt. Maybe when I get bored with the old color and want to try the new one or when my nails are too ugly to look at OR when my mom says: "Go take it off, girl! and paint the new color! That's super ugly!" Then I know it's about the time.

What’s your favorite color on your nails?
Any color will work just fine. I don't really have favorite color when it comes to nail polishes.

Darks or brights?
Dark. Bright color makes my fingers and nails looks a bit ugly than they really are.

What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?
Nothing. I should have worn some of my fav colors during my holiday in October but I had to work with paper-mache and those newspapers would definitely turn my perfect nail color to something gross. And now I'm in other province of Thailand and didn't have any makeup with me as well as nail polishes so my nails are just enjoying the fresh air without having anything on. Anyway, in September I wore OPI Tickle My France-y.

That's all for the tag today! Really like talking about it but hate for not having any of them around :(
See you in my next post!
xoxo :)

Beauty in Kitchen#1: Rub Rub ...In the Shower

Hello guys! I'm so excited because today is my first "beauty in kitchen" post! It's basically going to be about DIY beauty stuff and beauty recipes and you can do it by yourself using some ingredients in the kitchen!
However, I guess Thai's kitchen might have something quite different from other country's. So if you're reading this and you're not Thai and you can't find some ingredients that I'll be talking about, I'm really sorry T_T

So yeah, I think we should get started!

RUB RUB IN THE SHOWER!

This recipe is pretty simple using only two ingredients; ripe tamarind (มะขามเปียก! I guess that what it's called in English lolz -- If you're not living in Thailand, you can go to Thai grocery store and simply tell them you want MA-KHAM-PIAK) and milk. Just mix two things together and when you wanna use it, make a ripe tamarind like a little snowball. Rub your skin gently with it, focusing on some areas like your elbows and knees. This thing is perfect for removing dull skin and brightening up your skin as well. The ripe tamarind helps removing all the dirt and softening your skin. You can also add honey to moisturize your skin. This does not smell good but it's not that bad either.

Some says that this recipe helps with acne scars too but I've not tried it yet so I just can't tell. It's safe to use with your face but please rub it as gently as you can because your face's skin is more sensitive so it might be irritated.

After rubbing your skin, just take a shower as usual. This recipe can be used everyday but I'd recommend using it twice a week or when you feel like your skin needs a big cleaning-up!

PS. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU"RE NOT ALLERGIC WITH ANYTHING MENTIONED ABOVE BEFORE FOLLOWING THIS RECIPE!

November's Plan

Hello November!
I can't believe how fast October has passed and now we're in the month of November! Since it's the first day of the month, I decide to do my November's beauty-related-plan! Because I just want to do so many things and want to start them this month! Let's see I've got!

  • EXERCISES (yoga, dancing, running, going to fitness, whatsoever) at least one hour per day! Is it too much? I can't tell since my college hasn't started yet. But I hope I can make it.
  • DRINK TWO BOTTLES OF WATER PER DAY I know it's not enough but I'm the one who prefers tea over water. So I guess two will be a good start.
  • EAT MORE VEGGIES I might eat salad three times a week. Or add more veggies to my regular meals.
  • 5 MINS. YOGA RIGHT AFTER WAKING UP This will help me a lot not to fall asleep again.
  • DOING NATURAL MASK TWO TIMES A WEEK I like using honey and oatmeal. They are amazing and I feel so good after using them. Oatmeal will help exfoliating my skin while honey will help moisturizing it. I can't be lazy now!
  • DO NOT EAT AFTER TEN EXCEPT FOR AN EMERGENCY CASE No snack. No food. Only water (coffee and tea will be fine during exam's week but I will try not to go for them)
  • SCRUBBING LIPS ONCE A WEEK I may use sugar and maybe a bit of olive oil or honey. Uhh yummy!
  • DOING HAIR TREATMENT ONCE A WEEK It's time to take care of my hair. I might use some products from Boots or Watson. Have found some interesting ones.
  • SMILE FOR MYSELF EVERYDAY Yeah! Feel good about myself before going through the hard day! A one little smile will do!

As you can see it's such a simple plan. But it's the plan that I've never ever succeeded. I will try to do everything seriously as planned this month becos it's time to start doing something new. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Halloween Tag!

Helloooo! I'm here today with another non beauty-related post! These days I've been soo bored because of flooding in Thailand. The situation is pretty severe, yet, I don't want it to ruin my festive moment! I love festival!!

Talking about Halloween, I have to say it's not a typical-Thai tradition. It came to Thailand with western culture, I believe, but it's not as popular as Christmas :) Anyway, I've been so obsessed with Halloween lately since many gurus on youtube started doing a Halloween Tag, doing Halloween Haul video, making Halloween makeup tutorial. I, personally, love fall season, I love black and orange, and I think pumpkin is cute haha, so for me now, Halloween doesn't seem to be scary as it used to be when I was a kid.

Ok, that was a long intro! haha let's get started with the tag! I copied it from youtube but I didn't want to make video about it for many reasons (eg: My labtop was stolen and I still don't get the new one. I don't like editing my video in other people's computer/ the internet is suck!)

Allison's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECh3tL_QaHE&feature=feedu

Check out her video, she's one of my fav gurus!

QUESTIONS:
1.) What is your favorite Halloween movie?

Well, I love watching movies that were made especially for Halloween. I found them not as scary as the others. I also love watching series that have special episodes about this festival. Anyway, I don't like any of them in particular. Ohh! But I think Harry Potter series are interesting. Maybe I should start watching them on Halloween next year :)

2.) At what age did you stop trick-or-treating?

I have never ever go for trick-or-treating in my life lolz :) As I said it's not Thai tradition! But it sounds fun!

3.) What is your favorite Halloween costume that you've worn?
I dressed up as a devil girl once for school's english camp. It was my favorite at that moment!

4.) What are you going to be for Halloween this year?
If I could be anything, I would be a mermaid this year! That's because of great flooding, of course. I have learned how to create this look in many videos already.

5.) Do you like going to haunted attractions?
You mean the real one unlike those in Disneyland, right? Then no!

6.) Vampires or werewolves?
Vampires!!!

7.) What is your favorite Halloween candy?

I can't remember if I have ever tested any of them before. I guess no, so I can't answer this question :(

8.) Do you decorate your house for Halloween?

No but I'd loveeee to! The pumpkin things are cute! I'm going to put them around the house.

9.) What is the least favorite costume you've worn?
None

10.) Have you ever repeated a costume and what was it?
I have actually worn halloween costume only once in my life!

11.) Do you believe in ghosts?

Yes, I do.

12.) What is your scariest Halloween experience?

When I was in middle school, my aunt went to a hospital on Halloween day. She came back in the evening and everything seemed just fine. That night my two cousins and I were planning to watch movie and I believed both of them were planning to scare me as well (coz I was the youngest) My mom wasn't home that night, so my aunt, one cousin and I sat in front of TV. Another cousin of mine was still in her bedroom, doing her stuff. When it was nearly midnight, she came downstairs and told us that she smelled something really weird in her bedroom. It smelled like a hospital (i don't know how to describe it but you know what I mean right?) We all laughed because we thought she was trying to scare us. However, I couldn't stand watching anything at all and I was a bit terrified.  I moved to sit on another couch and I don't remember what I was doing. Suddenly, I could feel something weird. It was as if something just passed where I was sitting. I could smell something. It was just like when you walked pass someone and you could smell her/his perfume. But of course it wasn't a perfume. It was a hospital's smell. I went crazy. My cousin didn't believe me. He said my (another) cousin and I were just trying to scare him. A moment later, he kept his mouth shut. And he then cried out... yeah. He could smell something weird as well.
We all believed that someone came back from the hospital with my aunt that day :O I can't remember what happened the next day. But that was the scariest experience I ever had on Halloween night. Though later, I can sense many weird things around me but I don't smell, see or hear anything as clearly as I did that night.

wooohh... that pretty much is! Feel free to share your answers for all these questions! I love reading and watching tagged stuff.
Love,
Aom
